The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was one of the first countries to respond to the humanitarian crisis in Yemen which began in 2015.
Saudi Arabia has provided extensive humanitarian and development aid to Yemeni governorates in all sectors, helping to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
In addition to the fact that the Kingdom is one of the largest providers of humanitarian aid to Yemen, it has also welcomed Yemeni refugees (visitors) to live in cities across Saudi Arabia. The Kingdom provides these Yemenis with free health care and education, as well as employment opportunities to help them live secure, productive lives.
